Rodriguez: Together against the shortage of skilled workers

Those who complete a combined training programme at Rodriguez do not learn in one company, but in two. In this way, all areas of the training framework are optimally covered. At Rodriguez, two cutting machine operators are currently completing this special type of training, which is financially supported by the state of North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Social Fund.

The company training to become a cutting machine operator for turning and milling machine systems at Rodriguez, which takes place in cooperation with the association partner Prym Fashion and the training centre Aqus, is supported. “At the alliance partners, the manual training takes place in areas that we cannot cover here in Eschweiler,” explains Hans-Jürgen Kaußen, responsible for the alliance training at Rodriguez. “Prym Fashion, for example, has its own training workshop. Aqus is a pure training company with which we have been working since the summer of 2022.” The two machinists currently undergoing the composite training will take their exams in January 2026.

The European Social Fund ESF supports access to better jobs and ensures fair job prospects for citizens. Among other things, the state of North Rhine-Westphalia wants to use the European Social Fund to offer young people early and individual support. This helps to meet the demand for skilled workers in the long term. Further information can be found on the websites of the European Social Fund in North Rhine-Westphalia and the European Commission.
