In the global fight against the coronavirus, basic materials for medical care are urgently needed. The Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei is therefore having disinfectants produced on its production areas with immediate effect. The Hamburg intralogistics company STILL supports this commitment and provides an electric truck for the company logistics free of charge.

Thousands of litres of disinfectant will be produced over the next few weeks on the premises of the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei in the Stormarn district. The production, responsibility and distribution will be carried out exclusively by pharmacies, which currently have a temporary special permit for production. Grönwohlder would like to help in this time of crisis and is making the technology and labour available at cost price. Due to this large capacity, the pharmacies are able to produce a lot of urgently needed disinfectant in a very short time.

STILL provides electric forklift trucks

The fast and efficient logistics on the brewery site is made possible by the support of the intralogistics company STILL. The Hamburg company is providing an RX 20 series electric truck free of charge for the production period. “The current situation is a great challenge for all of us. This makes it all the more important for us to show solidarity now”, explains STILL Managing Director Thomas A. Fischer. “We are therefore very happy to support the fantastic project of the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei with our logistical competence and a powerful electric truck”.
The RX 20-20 is a powerful, compact and particularly manoeuvrable truck with the highest handling performance in its class. With a lithium-ion battery and easy battery replacement, it is also available almost around the clock.

“So far a STILL low lift pallet truck has been in operation on our premises. The fact that we can now use a powerful and safe forklift truck makes our work much easier”, says Torsten Schumacher, beer sommelier in the Grönwohlder Hausbrauerei, happily. “The fact that we receive so much support for our initiative is a great confirmation that we are doing the right thing. Thank you very much for that!”

Pfaff takes over transport

Further help came from a STILL partner from the neighbourhood in Hamburg Billbrook: Pfaff Spezialtransporte took over the professional transport of the truck to Grönwohld free of charge and without complications.
