BD|SENSORS celebrates 30 Year Anniversary – Full Day of Technology, Tradition and Dance

BD|SENSORS can look back on three decades of successful company history in the electronic pressure measurement area with a great deal of pride and joy. Since the company was established in 1995, BD|SENSORS has pursued a clearly defined corporate strategy based on the three pillars of “Vision – Mission – Values”. BD|SENSORS GmbH then duly celebrated its 30th anniversary on Friday, June 27, 2025.

The festivities started with an “Open Day,” at which numerous visitors took the opportunity to get a close-up look at BD|SENSORS. Guided tours through all departments – from administration to development and production – provided some exciting insights into the company’s wide range of working environments. Visitors were able to look over the shoulders of the BD|SENSORS employees at their workplaces and observe their demanding activities under the microscope. There was also plenty of entertainment for the younger visitors, who enjoyed the face painting and the bouncy castle while the adults took a well-deserved break with coffee and cake and an ice cream from the Cortina ice cream parlour van.

This public part of the event was followed by an official ceremony at the BD|FORUM, to which politicians, business people and friends were invited. CEO Rainer Denndörfer opened the event with a personal review of the last 30 years, during which BD|SENSORS developed continuously while remaining true to its principles.

Congratulations were then offered by guests from the political world: Martin Schöffel, Member of the State Parliament, acknowledged Rainer Denndörfer’s courage and vision when he established the company, and praised the steadfastness which makes BD|SENSORS a reliable employer in the Fichtelgebirge region. After offering his own congratulations, Deputy District Administrator Roland Schöffel recalled that they had a shared passion, namely DJing, and jokingly offered to take part in a joint DJ performance – a highlight which produced a lot of laughter. Pastor Dr. Matthias Hopf from Thierstein also offered his congratulations.

A special moment at the conclusion of the ceremony was the ceremonial farewell to Siegfried Stöfl, a long-standing and valued partner who not only helped develop the product range of BD|SENSORS over the years, but also looked after numerous industrial customers in the south of Germany. The management recognized his achievements, and after a personal look back on his career, he was congratulated on his retirement with a standing ovation.
