Energy efficient EVERDRY adsorption dryers with the reload method

With the RELOAD method, BEKO TECHNOLOGIES sets standards with regard to energy efficiency for drying compressed air with oil free compression. The main attraction of the method is that pressure dew points of -40°C can easily be achieved at compression end temperatures of only 150°C without requiring additional after heating.  This saves considerable energy costs and protects the environment.

EVERDRY adsorption dryers with the RELOAD method are particularly interesting for all industrial sectors which use compressed air with oil free compression and which would like to achieve better quality with reduced energy input in the future. Depending on the field of application, BEKO TECHNOLOGIES offers the RELOAD method in two formats:

  • 1. In the standard application without after heating at compression temperatures of 150°C for dew points of -40°C.
  • 2. In a special application with moderate after heating, e.g. for the electronics industry, with dew points of -70°C.

In models of the EVERDRY HOC-R series for pressure dew points of -70°C, a second desorption phase (superheating) takes place via circulated hot dry air subsequent to the end of the first desorption phase (use of the heat of compression). Desorption using heated dry air leads to the further separation of water molecules from the desiccant. The desiccant gains extra ability to attract water vapour and is thus able to dry the compressed air to pressure dew points of -70°C. The dry air used for the second desorption stage is not rejected as is normally the case but is resupplied to the compressed air flow.

The RELOAD method is highly efficient increasing the compressed air quality without additional heat and in the case of the special application with lower energy input, and it ensures a high return on investment, as it quickly pays off via saved energy and operating costs.
