If the images taken in fault analysis in production are to be flawless, the high-speed camera and the equipment must be perfectly coordinated. Yet it is often far from easy to choose the accessories in this field without expert advice. That is why Optronis GmbH offers the CamRecord 3000×2 as a bundle solution with matching accessories including TimeBench analysis software. The “Slow Motion for Industry” bundle was presented for the first time at SPS IPC Drives at November 2013.

The right light, a steady stand and the appropriate lens are essential for successful photography using a high-speed camera. But which products are good and, in particular, suitable for the camera model? It was in answer to this question that Optronis created a bundle solution for the CamRecord 3000×2 that makes it easy to get started in high-speed technology. In addition to the high-speed camera, the solution includes a standard lens, an LED spotlight, a tripod and a hand trigger. The bundle also contains a magic arm with fixing frame, universal cable and adapter for the LED lighting.

Appropriate analysis software for fault analysis

Also in the bundle is the TimeBench analysis software that is supplied as standard with models of the CamRecord series. This allows Optronis to exhaust the full potential offered by high-speed cameras, so that users do not have to invest even more time and know-how in tracking down the suitable software. Following brief training by Optronis, TimeBench can be used to investigate processes in detail and obtain data for repair purposes by analysing individual images using range, angle or velocity measurements. TimeBench has just been configured with a tracking function that allows the trajectory, acceleration and velocity of movements are presented and analysed graphically. The CamRecord, which has a maximum frame rate of 100,000 images a second, was presented together with the bundle at SPS IPC Drives.
