For the calibration and verification of pyrometers and infrared cameras DIAS Infrared offers a wide range of different blackbody radiators in the product group PYROTHERM. Now the new blackbody calibration source PYROTHERM CS 1200 for the temperature range 300 °C to 1200 °C was introduced. It is a cavity radiator with a silicon carbide cavity optimized in terms of geometry and material. This results in a high emissivity in the near (NIR) and mid-wave (MWIR) as well as in the long-wave (LWIR) infrared spectral range, i.e. between 0.8 µm and 14 µm.

The aperture diameter of the blackbody is 38 mm. The temperature adjustment can be done directly at the calibration source or via serial interface RS-485 with PC software. Digital PID controller and high-precision temperature sensor provide excellent accuracy and stability.

For even higher temperatures up to 1500 ° C, the PYROTHERM CS 1500 cavity calibration source is available, which is optimized for the near infrared spectral range (NIR). For lower temperatures the PYROTHERM CS 120 (-15 °C to 120 °C), CS 400 (50 °C to 400 °C) and CS 500 (50 °C to 500 °C) are available. Furthermore, calibration sources with a fixed temperature between 35 ° C and 150 ° C (CS F35 to F150) are included in the product range.

The PYROTHERM calibration sources are supplemented by a series of transfer radiation thermometers PYROSPOT cal for temperatures between 0 ° C and 2500 ° C in different spectral ranges (NIR, MWIR, LWIR).
