DIAS releases its new PYROINC infrared thermal imaging camera designed for combustion chambers

DIAS Infrared is a leader in the field of infrared thermal imaging cameras PYROINC with borescope and endoscope optics for non-contact temperature measurement in industrial combustion chambers. The camera systems can measure temperatures from 400 °C to 1800 ° C in different spectral ranges:

Near infrared range (NIR): 0.8 µm to 1.1 µm and 1.4 µm to 1.6 µm

  • Glass melting furnaces
  • Rotary kilns

Midwave infrared range (MWIR): around 3.9 µm

  • Temperature measurement through flames
  • Detection of excessive slag formation

Longwave infrared range (LWIR): around 10.6 µm

Two new high-resolution endoscope thermal imaging cameras PYROINC 1920N (1920 x 1080 pixels) and PYROINC 1600N (1600 x 1200 pixes) have been developed especially for temperature measurements of glass melts and for checking the brick lining of glass melting furnaces. They measure temperatures from 1100 ° C to 1800 ° C in the NIR spectral range from 0.8 µm to 1.1 µm.

The endoscope optics with a stainless steel probe cooling jacket has a diameter of only 60.3 mm (length 1040 mm), which is cooled with water. The inlet aperture for the infrared radiation has a patented air purging unit and has a very small diameter. The probe cooling jacket can be pulled directly through the opening in the combustion chamber walls. An automated retraction system guarantees maximum safety even under critical operating conditions. The front part of the probe cooling jacket withstands temperatures of around 1800 ° C.
