FIPA strengthens its market position for vacuum and gripper technology with its partnership with Stäubli

FIPA GmbH has entered into a close partnership with Stäubli Fluid Connectors. Starting in January 2023, both companies will offer complete system solutions with grippers. The collaboration increases FIPA’s presence on the international stage and further strengthens its market position in vacuum and gripper technology.

A robot alone does not provide a complete automation solution, because almost all applications re-quire end effectors. In the case of industrial robots, these are usually gripper systems. FIPA has been demonstrating its cross-industry expertise in gripper construction and in the sale of all associated components worldwide for decades. Stäubli also operates internationally and demonstrates its strength with mechatronics solutions, such as tool changer systems for every robot application. Both companies complement each other perfectly with their portfolios.

As part of the cooperation, FIPA will also market the proven Stäubli robotic tool changing systems, while Stäubli will offer the entire FIPA product range with the exception of lifting technology. From now on, customers will receive all vacuum and gripper components, as well as gripper solutions, from their usual contact partner. This results in synergy effects for customers of both companies, as they receive everything from a single source. Stäubli is represented by subsidiaries around the globe. Via the very dense Stäubli sales network, in close proximity to the customer, the extensive FIPA After Sales Service is also available worldwide. This guarantees the best quality of advice and fast response times.

With this partnership, both companies are now offering the complete “kinematic chain” for robotics applications together. Moreover, in addition to the high-quality components from FIPA, the customers of Stäubli also have access to individual design solutions from the FIPA range of services. Through this partnership, both companies ensure that process sequences are interlinked in the best possible way and are optimally adapted to the needs of the customers.

In FIPA, Stäubli has found a full-range supplier and trustworthy partner with a broad portfolio in both vacuum and gripper technology and a reputation in the industry for the highest level of competence in engineering, project management and product expertise. “We are very proud that Stäubli has partnered with FIPA to provide its customers with End-of-Arm-Tooling solutions. FIPA’s reputation and heritage for quality vacuum and gripping components as well as complete systems is a perfect match for Stäubli’s quality and solutions approach, giving their customers a single source for gripping, suction and mold change,” affirms David Collins, CCO at FIPA.

Both companies also operate very flexibly on the market and see challenges as opportunities. Optimally coordinated system solutions are another feature of the two partners. In the future, customers will have just one contact for the overall End-of-Arm-Tooling solution. Meaningful synergies are created from which all parties benefit.

“FIPA and Stäubli stand for the highest quality, reliability and performance. However, the industry’s growing need for high productivity demands even more. With our partnership, we are pursuing the common goal of enabling customers to realize effective production with the lowest possible downtimes thanks to innovative solutions and comprehensive service,” emphasizes Marc Noggler-Gerlach, Key Account Manager at FIPA, who has accompanied all steps of the cooperation from the very beginning. He adds, “We are looking forward to many interesting projects that we will implement together in the future.”

Advantages of the partnership:

  • Optimally coordinated system solutions for the tool change of robot gripper applications
  • One contact for the complete End-of-Arm-Tooling solution
  • Comprehensive cross-industry application know-how
  • All components from a single source, perfectly matched to each other
  • Specialist know-how from design to the finished solution and beyond
