Lambert’s newly released Capture 1.4 features multiple new exciting functionalities

Capture 1.4 introduces exciting new features, including the ability to draw a region of interest (ROI), a histogram for each camera or movie, and support for recording with up to 9 cameras simultaneously.

Regions of interest

With Capture 1.4, users can now draw regions of interest in the image viewer, allowing for more detailed analysis of the pixel values in an image. Users can move, modify, duplicate and remove ROIs by right-clicking their number in the image viewer.

And with the ROI manager in the sidebar on the right side of the window, users can get more information about each ROI. This is where users will find the number of pixels in the ROI, as well as the mean value and the standard deviation of the pixels in the ROI. Users can also unselect a region of interest here, to make it invisible in the image viewer. And they can remove an ROI by clicking its trash can icon.

Each ROI in the ROI manager has a number and an accent color that corresponds to the outline of the ROI in the image viewer.

Histograms

The histogram chart provides a visualization of the light distribution in your images and illustrates whether there is underexposure or overexposure.

Each camera settings panel now shows an accent color that corresponds to that camera’s histogram color.

Up to 9 cameras simultaneously

Capture now supports recording with up to 9 cameras simultaneously. Depending on your computer configuration, all image data can be saved to disk in realtime to ensure long recordings without frame drops.

And much more

This software update also contains multiple bug fixes and performance improvements. For a full overview of what’s new in Capture 1.4, and information about the hardware and software requirements, please refer to the Capture 1.4 release notes.
