The new nano is the shortest M12 ultrasonic sensor on the market – maximum performance in the smallest space.

Ultrasonic sensors detect almost all reflecting materials without contact and can deal with almost every fluid, gas, film, material or coarse-grained parts, chippings, fine sand and the thinnest of cables. The trend towards miniaturisation of the housing along with maximisation in performance – all in the smallest of spaces – imposes great expectation on ultrasonic sensors.

Microsonic responds to the challenge with the recently launched nano, extending the performance of the miniature class. With a total length of only 55 mm including plug, the new nano from microsonic is the shortest M12 ultrasonic sensor available on the market. It provides two detection ranges: 250 and 350 mm, available with analogue or switching output. The nano with a blind zone of only 20 mm is truly an alternative to inductive and capacitive sensors specially if greater measuring distance and high reproducibility are required. The analogue version is available with 0-10 V current output und 4-20 mA voltage output. The nano with analogue output has a total length of only 60 mm. This facilitates the conversion to nano ultrasonic sensors for critical applications.
