Pewatron introduces the new optical incremental encoder from ELTRA. The ER38 is a miniaturized incremental encoder with a blind hollow shaft, which is ideally suited for robotics and automation applications thanks to its reduced dimensions and very high resolution.

This three-channel encoder (A/B/Z) offers up to 14,440 pulses per revolution, which is the highest resolution on the market for its dimensions (diameter of 40 mm, the height of 43 or 48 mm). A robust mechanical design and metal casing guarantee a high protection class without loss of performance (up to 6,000 rpm). It is fitted either by means of a tongue flange or an anti-rotation pin. A feed voltage of up to 30 VDC and many different electrical interfaces complete the profile. All in all, the ER38 is an all-rounder that is suitable for a range of applications.
