Seven new cameras in the Allied Vision Technologies family

Camera Manufacturer adds seven models to family of industrial cameras for imaging in extreme environments.

Allied Vision Technologies presented seven new models from its Prosilica GT camera family at VISION 2012 in Stuttgart, the  world’s leading trade fair for machine vision. New models feature the latest sensor technology from CMOSIS, Truesense Imaging, and Sony.

CMOS cameras: up to 12 Megapixel resolution
The 2 Megapixel Prosilica GT2000 (CMV2000), 4 Megapixel GT2050 (CMV4000), and 12 Megapixel GT4100 (CMV12000) feature global shutter CMOS sensors from CMOSIS that offer high sensitivity, fast frame rates up to 53 fps, and high dynamic range. The Prosilica GT2000 and GT2050 are also available as a NIR (near infrared) option.

High Resolution: 16 and 29 Megapixels
The 16 MP Prosilica GT4907 and 29MP GT6600 are CCD cameras in a 35mm optical format and respectively feature the KAI-16070 and KAI-29050 sensors from Truesense imaging. The Prosilica GT4907’s KAI-16070 sensor is based on a new 7.4 micron interline transfer CCD platform that provides very high smear rejection and linear dynamic range as well as fast frame rate to 7.6 fps at full resolution. The 16 Megapixel Prosilica GT4905 comes with the KAI-16050 CCD sensor in APH-S optical (32.36mm) diagonal format.

All three sensors feature a vertical overflow drain structure designed to suppress image blooming and enable electronics shuttering for precise exposure control. They are equipped with an F-mount as standard, with an M58 mount option available and are compatible with a wide-range of high quality commercial and industrial lenses.

Sony EXview HAD CCD II: 9.2 Megapixel
The 9.2 MP Prosilica GT3400 features the new type 1 Sony ICX814 progressive scan CCD sensor. The ICX814 is the latest sensor to feature Sony’s  EXview HAD CCD II technology that combines excellent image quality and sensitivity as well as high resolution and fast frame rate. The Prosilica GT3400 runs 12 fps at full resolution.

About the Prosilica GT
The Prosilica GT cameras by Allied Vision Technologies are Gigabit Ethernet cameras designed to perform in extreme environments in temperatures from -20⁰ C up to 65⁰C. The cameras feature auto-iris (P-iris and DC), Power over Ethernet, internal temperature monitoring, Ethernet surge suppression and PTP IEEE1588, a function that manages clock synchronization of multiple devices across an Ethernet network. The Prosilica GT cameras are ideal for applications such as machine vision, industrial inspection, ITS & traffic monitoring, public security & surveillance, high speed inspection, and much more.
