STRATEGIC SERVICE PARTNERSHIP CERATEC-MIAS IN BENELUX AND NORTHERN FRANCE

The Belgian technology and engineering company CERATEC and the German storage and retrieval machine and load handling device specialist MIAS have agreed on a strategic partnership in the after-sales sector. Against the background of a rapidly growing joint project volume in the Benelux market, MIAS is training CERATEC technicians on site on the MIAS devices with the manufacturer-specific features in the mechanical area.

In doing so, CERATEC will also benefit from the manufacturer’s know-how, which has so far been strictly guarded. This is a win-win situation for both partners: in the medium term CERATEC will become an important service partner of MIAS in Benelux and Northern France.

Ralph Neumann, Head of Technical Sales After Sales at MIAS, says: “Good technicians do not grow on trees, they have to be qualified. For us, proximity to the end customer plays a decisive role both in shortening reaction times and on the cost side for lasting success in the market. Also, and especially in view of the current travel restrictions, we see the partnership with CERATEC as a major contribution to further increasing the availability of our installed base and thus strengthening our market position in north-western Europe”.

CERATEC technicians are trained in 2 stages: Level 1: “MIAS certified Maintenance Technician” and Level 2: “MIAS certified Service Technician”.

“Think global – act local” – since MIAS has a strong focus on retrofit modernisation projects in addition to the new installations business, the cooperation also lays an essential foundation for local cooperation in this area.

“We are delighted to have sealed this cooperation with MIAS as it is fully aligned with our mission to deliver the best quality of service to our intralogistics and industrial customers. Hence, we are able to enrich our value proposition to support our customers to get the maximum efficiency from their assets.” Renaud Vanrysselberghe, Head of After Sales.
