Teledyne e2v, the global innovator of imaging solutions, was presented with a Silver Award for its OctoPlus line scan cameras for Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT), at the Fourth Annual Vision Systems Design Innovators Awards presentation, held during The Vision Show in Boston, MA.

The entries were judged on originality and innovation, along with their positive impact on designers, systems integrators and end users. Judging criteria also included whether the product fulfils a need in the market that is not already addressed and whether it leverages a novel technology.

Teledyne e2v’s OctoPlus line scan cameras were chosen by a panel of systems integrators, consultants and academics with years of experience in specifying, designing and configuring image processing and machine vision systems.

Teledyne e2v developed the OctoPlus range of line scan cameras for OCT applications in healthcare and industrial markets. Key to the next generation of commercially available OCT workstations are the critical imaging components (the camera and sensor), for which Teledyne e2v are a leading developer. The OctoPlus cameras feature a unique sensor design offering tall-pixels (10 x 20μm or 10 x 200μm), low power consumption (<3W) and speeds up to 250Khz. The camera comes with a USB3 or CameraLink interface and is available in 64 configurables, allowing customers to choose the exact specification for their workstation.

Alan Bergstein, publisher of Vision Systems Design, said, “This prestigious program allows Vision Systems Design to celebrate and recognize the most innovative products and services in the vision and image processing industry.
