WITTE PUMPS & TECHNOLOGY GmbH has been developing gear pumps for industrial use in a wide range of industries for over 35 years. The company and its employees act with a pioneering spirit, are driven by innovation and are constantly searching for new solutions and designs.

The demands on industrial machines and plants are constantly increasing. Higher durability, longer service life, energy efficiency and digitalisation are just some of the challenges that need to be met in mechanical, plant and pump engineering. With a view to the future and the associated demands on pumps and processes, WITTE PUMPS & TECHOLOGY GmbH has commissioned a new test facility in 2019.

The aim of this test field installation is on the one hand to realise in-house development tests and on the other hand to offer the customer the possibility to carry out acceptance and test runs under demanding and process-like conditions directly on site.

The equipment of the test field has been implemented according to the latest technical standards and requirements. The test setup is extremely flexible and variable. Several test sections cover a wide operating range for a wide variety of pump sizes.

In addition to the classic performance characteristics, NPSH values of the pumps can also be determined and pressure measurements with high temporal resolution can be realized. Comprehensive condition monitoring of the pumps is available in all tests.

Due to the flexible design of the mechanical construction, the test field can be easily and quickly adapted to new challenges and extended by additional measuring tasks.

A further advantage is the possibility to operate the test bench either fully automated or manually. This also makes it easy to implement individual tests and tasks. A wide viscosity range of possible fluids completes the functional scope of the test field.

This project was realized with the kind support of WTSH – Business Development and Technology Transfer in Schleswig-Holstein.
