The new training and study year at HELLER started on 2 September 2024. A total of 31 young people have joined the Nürtingen-based company to complete their apprenticeship or studies. This year, HELLER will once again be providing the basic and part of the specialist training for seven guest apprentices from neighbouring companies in the region.
During the social and experiential education days in Tübingen, HELLER junior staff had the opportunity to get to know each other better before starting their first ‘real’ working day at the company on 6 September 2024. The young people were officially welcomed by the entire HELLER training team led by Head of Training Martin Schmeckenbecher, the works council and its chairman Stefan Haag as well as the youth and trainee representatives.
“Today marks the beginning of a new and exciting chapter in your lives. You have embarked on a journey that will help you develop not only professionally, but also personally. Vocational education and training is about much more than the acquisition of specialised knowledge and practical skills. It is a crucial step towards independence. Training is also about taking responsibility – for your own development and for your role in the company. It is a time of growth and development in which you can discover and unfold your strengths. Make the most of this time,” said Works Council Chairman Stefan Haag in his official welcoming speech.
In his welcome address, Head of Training Martin Schmeckenbecher, emphasised the team concept: “At HELLER, we offer both qualified professional training and a friendly and appreciative atmosphere which makes it fun to work here. We have always placed the emphasis on a spirit of togetherness. And we will continue to do so, because we can only be successful as a team.”
