The H2 Roadshow, initiated by the Economic Development Agency of the Heilbronn region, kicked off this year at GEMÜ’s site in Niedernhall-Waldzimmern. Under the theme “Hydrogen Future – Experience Solutions, Share Impulses,” GEMÜ opened its doors to industry professionals and offered first-hand insights into its advanced hydrogen valve testing capabilities.

State-of-the-Art Testing for the Hydrogen Market

A major highlight of the event was GEMÜ’s in-house hydrogen valve test bench, which was showcased through guided tours. Designed for realistic testing environments, the system uses both helium and 100% hydrogen to assess valve performance. These tests form the foundation for objective quality assurance and documented product safety, both of which are essential in the hydrogen sector.

Reliable and Measurable Quality – The Core of Hydrogen Valve Testing

Jinesh Dedhiya, Head of Market Segment Management at GEMÜ, explained:

“The test bench allows us to perform leakage measurements under real-world conditions in a fully automated and repeatable manner. This not only makes test results traceable and transparent but also creates a solid foundation for product quality and process validation for our customers.”

Key Benefits of the GEMÜ Hydrogen Test Bench

  • Objective Quality Assurance
Replace subjective assessments with measurable, data-driven test results.
  • Reproducible Accuracy
High-precision testing ensures consistent and reliable product performance.
  • Comprehensive Documentation
Digital records simplify certification processes and improve traceability.
  • Enhanced Safety
Proven leak-tightness is crucial for hydrogen-related safety applications.

More Than Just Testing – Knowledge Transfer at the Event

In addition to the test bench demonstrations, attendees enjoyed technical presentations on the latest trends in valve technology. An interactive showcase illustrated the unique physical properties of hydrogen, adding a hands-on learning element to the day.

The event received overwhelmingly positive feedback, confirming the industry’s strong interest in practical, future-proof hydrogen solutions.

Partnering for the Future of Hydrogen

By investing in innovative testing technologies, GEMÜ positions itself as a reliable partner for hydrogen plant engineering. The company sees its test bench as a strategic step toward meeting the evolving demands of the hydrogen economy, now and in the future.
