From 18.09.23 to 23.09.23 Maschinenfabrik Berthold HERMLE AG will be exhibiting on 560 m2 in Hall 12Stand C30, true to its motto – everything from one source – three fully equipped automation solutions and a milling/turning machining centre. All machines showcase the technological advantages of HERMLE products with interesting machining operations.

With its HIGH-PERFORMANCE-LINE and PERFORMANCE-LINE machining centres, HERMLE AG has been a benchmark for years in a wide variety of industries which require precise, high-quality and long-term accurate machines. The shortage of skilled workers and also the economic pressure to use automated systems has been steadily increasing in recent years. For example, HERMLE AG established its own automation subsidiary, HERMLE Systemtechnik GmbH, at an early stage. With an automation share which has since grown to over 50%, this was a very forward-looking decision which is more than paying off today. Therefore, the focus at the EMO will also be on the area of automation and digitalisation. Three different approaches are shown here, both for a wide range of parts and for the reliable and economical production of high-quality components.

HERMLE AG devotes an entire subject area to the development of technology. Here, user questions about new production technologies, milling and turning cycles, digital components and special hardware will be answered by specialists.

The RS 05-2 robot system adapted to a C 12 –
for workpieces up to 10 kg with simultaneous high and individual parts storage in a wide variety of storage modules.

The RS 1 robot system adapted to a C 250 – can flexibly grip, clamp and store workpieces up to 15 kg and pallets up to 60 kg. Maximum flexibility with very high process reliability.

The HS flex handling system adapted to a C 32 –
for workpieces up to 450 kg (the heavy version up to 1,200 kg), transports and stores pallets in two storage modules.

The milling/turning version of the C 42 completes the exhibit list and uses a spectacular milling process/rotational machining to demonstrate the “powerskiving” milling process for internal and external toothing and “fir tree milling” for aerospace engine components.
