Pieter van Dyk (President Van Dyk Recycling Solutions) together with mr. Edmund Tenfelde (CEO Bollegraaf Recycling Solutions) visited SPK Wognum. During this visit together with mr. Peter Kooiman (managing director SPK) they extensively looked at the performance of the Bollegraaf Cogni-AQC robot. Both the customer SPK and Van Dyk experience the results of this autonomous sorting robot as very positive.

The robot in question was installed in Wognum in June 2019 and fulfills the role of quality controller of collected paper flows from both the Netherlands and the United Kingdom. The so-called Cogni-AQC is positioned as the last step immediately after the paper spikes and sorts on the following fractions: brown cardboard, hard plastics, foils, tetra pack. The Cogni has been extensively tested and optimized since June to increase performance and ensure stability.

At the end of 2019, a second Cogni-AQC will be installed at SPK in Wognum with the aim of increasing the quality of specifically collected paper from the United Kingdom.
