Cellro celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, a milestone in the world of CNC automation. CEO Arnoud de Kuijper talks about the origins of Cellro, the motives behind its founding, and looks ahead to the future. Because, Cellro is packing big at the AMB in Stuttgart from 10 to 14 September.
‘We will present at AMB 2024 our most versatile and advanced line-up of CNC automation systems: C-Mate, Xcelerate, Elevate and Ultimate. With 3 showcases, we will show their operation and unique capabilities in action,’ explains De Kuijper.
‘For example, the Xcelerate X35, which thanks to RC-2 | 6S technology from Gressel and Cellro, can machine a workpiece 6-sided without manual re-clamping, the outcome; a completely machined and finished product. Or the Xcelerate X20, which now comes with ERP connectivity, greatly simplifying work preparation for CNC production. No erroneous data entry and always up-to-date data.’
‘With Elevate and Ultimate, we offer the highest flexibility in automated CNC production,’ says De Kuijper. ‘Elevate has a very high storage capacity on a small footprint, and is suitable for automating 2 machines simultaneously. Ideal for product families or a mix of small series. Ultimate is perfect for a flexible layout with multiple machines (1 to 4 machines), with tray handling, product handling and pallet handling for light and heavy products this is the ultimate expression of modularity.
‘At our Next Gen Plaza, we are showcasing cutting-edge CNC automation technologies,’ says De Kuijper. ‘Practical innovations such as the long stroke machine clamp and the automatic jaw changing system for turning and milling. Both innovations offer huge advantages for automatic machine changeover. In addition, we demonstrate the modularity of our CNC automation systems. We are also taking a step in digitisation and are showing for the first time our digitisation platform Manufacturing Intelligence (MI), our online platform that links all machines and software systems and supports planning and execution on the shopfloor.’
‘Cellro remains committed to creating a smartly automated, modular and flexible CNC manufacturing world. A world where operators and CNC machines work together at maximum efficiency. Connecting automation and digitalisation is the big difference maker here. This enables machining companies to sustainably compete with both local and global competitors on speed, quality and price.’.
