This cutting material combines the features of a fine-grained carbide and a hardwearing CVD coating and withstands highly abrasive materials even with a cutting speed of 60m/min. The secret lies in the highly viscous base substrate which guarantees, in combination with a thin PVD layer, a good ratio between abrasion and tool life.
