Dauphin Home: On the way up

A young brand maturing – Dauphin Home furniture has been on the way up ever since its launch in 2010 and is now getting ready for its fourth appearance at the imm cologne. The Offenhausen-based division aims to use the “central business platform for the global furniture industry” primarily as a way of strengthening existing commercial contacts and establishing new business connections in other European countries.

“In Germany, there are hardly any blank spots on the map now,” said Steffen Reim, Dauphin Home Division Manager. “However, there is still a lack of d istributors in cities such as Hamburg, Frankfurt, Stuttgart or Munich and in the surrounding areas,” revealed the 52-year-old expert. Steffen Reim is delighted with the way the brand has developed since its recent launch. Turnover has increased continuously, particularly since 2011, and he is predicting “strong double-digit growth” for the forthcoming financial year too.

The young furniture brand has a great deal to offer retailers and end customers, namely a selective sales concept and German quality down to the very last detail. The quality of its products has made an impression in China as well. Dauphin Home is currently assisting the well-known Chinese property company CEG (Shanghai Central Eagle Real Estate) with a large project involving 1,000 residential units and is hoping to gain an important sales partner as a result. For example, CEG is exhibiting the Dauphin Home brand at “100% Design Shanghai” (08-10.11.2012), an important international furniture fair in Shanghai. As far as other foreign countries are concerned, Dauphin Home has proven particularly successful in the Netherlands and Switzerland too.

Dauphin Home comes under the umbrella of the Dauphin HumanDesign Group (DHDG), whose core business remains integrated furniture solutions for offices and public buildings. The items of furniture for the elegant home range are produced by the DHDG subsidiaries Bosse Design and Züco. Further developed to offer extra luxury and top-quality details, they are built to last and exude a combination of timeless elegance and international modernity.

At the imm cologne, Dauphin Home will present a range of products including a new item of upholstered furniture and the homely, further developed version of the Little Perillo, one of the home label’s shooting stars. Both were recently exhibited at the Orgatec, the leading international trade fair for offices and public buildings, and went down very well with visitors. Dauphin Home is also working on new, high-gloss lacquered surfaces and is investing to improve process quality and efficiency. “We would like to be a dependable partner for our customers, so we are focusing more on modifications rather than new products,” explained Steffen Reim. In 2013, trendy colours, opulent materials and intelligent media integration will be as much a part of the Dauphin Home range as further brand building, particularly in the hospitality segment.
