DrM’s Cutting‑Edge Solution Meets Rich MEG Challenges

The company has delivered a custom‑built candle filter system for processing rich MEG (Mono Ethylene Glycol) in offshore oil and gas applications. Rich MEG streams typically return with contamination from salts, corrosion by‑products, sand, sludge and fine particulates — all of which must be removed before regeneration. The tailored system tackles this complex contamination by applying proven filtration technology in extreme upstream conditions.

High Efficiency in Harsh Environments

Designed for high performance, the system features two candle filters that ensure high removal efficiency of slippery, fine particles and adapt to changing solids load over the field life. The closed design reduces operator exposure and supports safe, minimally‑handled discharge of dry cake. It is rugged enough to operate reliably offshore and withstand the demands of a challenging production environment.

Integration into MEG Regeneration Loop

This bespoke unit strengthens the entire MEG regeneration loop — from well‑head return to downstream treatment. By transforming contaminated rich MEG into a cleaner feed, the system boosts MEG recovery and cuts waste disposal demands. The modular and process‑specific design allowed seamless integration and timely delivery, supporting operational readiness in critical production timelines.
