Efficient single-part and series production with maximum precision and full flexibility

At EMO Hanover 2023, Fehlmann AG will present innovations and solutions for optimizing processes and increasing production efficiency and quality. As a trade fair premiere, Fehlmann will exhibit the new high-performance machining center VERSA 745, as a compact, modular and flexible automated solution.

Efficient part production of series and individual parts

As a premiere in Hanover, we will present the new VERSA 745, a high-performance machining center in portal design, equipped with rack magazine 128 and a flexible, compact automation solution – Erowa Robot Easy 250, for workpieces with a maximum weight of 250 kg. Complex contours in a wide variety of materials, hardened and unhardened steels can be manufactured highly productively in 5 axes. The entire system is controlled and completely monitored by the FEHLMANN Milling Center Manager MCM™. Due to the MCM™ and the machine’s high degree of ease of operation, the Fehlmann automation solution is not only suitable for series production, but is also economical starting from just a few workpieces. Thanks to the open system architecture, the FEHLMANN machining centers can be quickly and efficiently integrated into existing company networks.

One machine for two processes – versatile and economical

The VERSA high-performance machining centers continue to prove themselves in the areas of milling and hard milling, as well as in coordinate / contour grinding. Live in action in Hanover: the 5-axis milling-grinding-center VERSA 645 linear with coordinate grinding function. Solid design combined with impressive basic mechanical accuracy, as well as high thermal stability, are only some of the standard features of the VERSA-line and are ideal prerequisites for the integration of the coordinate grinding function. Milling, hard milling and grinding are perfectly combined on one machining center. Complete machining in a single clamping leads to an enormous reduction in machining times, high-precision finishing and, at the same time, increased process reliability.

Tool manufacturing and precision parts production on 5 to 3 axes with pallet handling

Another EMO highlight at the FEHLMANN booth will be the 5-axis machining center PICOMAX 75. It offers highest precision, thermal stability and optimal energy efficiency. The 4th/5th axis ATS 200 DD can be retrofitted at any time and is fully integrated into the controls. The PICOMAX 75 is being shown equipped with the pallet handling system ERC80 – maximum productivity with compact size for machining complex single parts and series.

Conventional manual and / or CNC: machines and solutions for single-part and small batch production as well as modern vocational training

For single-part and small batch production, as well as for simple tool-making jobs and modern, vocational training, FEHLMANN continues to rely on the milling machines PICOMAX 56L TOP and PICOMAX 56 mill. Switching between manual and CNC – easily and quickly at the touch of a button. The new mill-version is also ideally suited for training. It has 3 handwheels and basic functions for conventional milling, drilling and thread cutting.

The PICOMAX 56’s TOP operating concept (Touch Or Program™) enables manual machining via drilling levers and handwheels, as well as CNC operation with the advantages of a 3-/4-axis CNC machine, even without programming knowledge.

The handy drilling and milling machine – robust and with a wide range of applications

The PICOMAX 21-M (with feed table) is ideally suited for training and production of single parts and small lots. The integrated motorized table allows ultra-rapid and precise positioning not just manually, but also automatically, for bolt hole circles, dot patterns and rectangular pockets.

New controls and hardware generation HEIDENHAIN TNC7 – intuitive, task-oriented and individual.

The new TNC7 control is optionally available for all CNC FEHLMANN machines. It can be seen live during the EMO in Hanover on the FEHLMANN machining center VERSA 645 linear with coordinate grinding function.
