FIBRO developed new long-lasting and high-performance dampers

In the modern servo presses used in the automobile and white goods industries, conventional PU blankholder dampers are quickly pushed beyond their limits from the high forces exerted on the holding elements of the tools due to the high return stroke speeds. FIBRO, the standard parts specialist from Hassmersheim, has the solution with specially designed high-performance dampers. FIBRO dampers are manufactured from a thermoplastic high-performance elastomer which can confidently withstand the pressures of high press strokes and speeds while reliably absorbing the occurring energies. They gently protect the holding elements and minimise the noise pollution. The long-lasting, high-performance dampers, which have already been extensively field-tested in the automobile industry, are available in two versions: for light loads with a static energy absorption up to 3 Nm (M10) and for heavy loads with a static energy absorption between 5 Nm (M10) and 269 Nm (M30), depending on the size. The optimum number of dampers for heavy loads can be determined using a selection matrix for the respective application. The compact dampers are oil- and grease- resistant and designed for several million load changes.
