FIBRO, the standard parts specialist from Hassmersheim has introduced new types of polyamide spacers into its product range, which can be placed directly on the pillars or bushes and act as transport and storage protection for the active elements of progressive, transfer or punching tools. The release elements can be attached or removed in just seconds. And in the event that they are accidentally left in the tool, the high-quality material will deform when the tool closes so that damage to the tool is prevented and parts won’t be jettisoned and catapulted around. These spacers offer a significant advantage over conventional spacers made of steel and wood. The compact FIBRO spacers for die release are available with or without integrated spring element. The latter serves to help position the tools in the machine during changing in a gentle way without pretension. Standardized hinges allow the spacers to be directly attached to the tool and simply folded open and closed, as necessary.
