GEAR HOBBING BY HEIMATEC

The challenges for the production of gears are great. Plug-in connections and gears, for example in gearboxes, are safety-relevant components and their production requires the highest degree of precision.

With the infinitely adjustable driven tool unit from heimatec, gears can be completely machined in the lathe with the greatest possible accuracy, maximum rigidity, low setup effort and minimum operating costs.

The tool units from heimatec can be equipped with a gear hobbing cutter, so that “gear hobbing” machining can be performed directly on the tool turret and/or the milling spindle of a lathe. An additional gear hobbing machine is not necessary and the classical manufacturing processes of shaping or milling can be omitted.

Whether bevel gears, helical or screw gears, high accuracies as well as diverse gear widths and helix angles are possible with our tools.
