At EMO 2025 in Hannover (Hall 3, Booth I14), Hainbuch introduces advanced automation solutions and optimized clamping systems that help manufacturers respond to growing demands for flexibility, precision, and cost-efficiency.
Hainbuch has long been a pioneer in automated clamping. Four years ago, it launched a system that allowed automatic changes of clamping heads and complete clamping devices—even for small batch sizes. This innovation is now widely used and has opened the door to fully automated processes in flexible manufacturing environments.
Now, Hainbuch takes the next step: introducing a fully automated jaw change system for jaw chucks. This solution handles different workpiece diameters with large external clamping requirements—reliably, thanks to integrated sensor technology that monitors and ensures safe execution.
The outcome: a completely unmanned setup process, even for frequently changing small series or one-off parts—repeatable, efficient, and safe.
To ensure product quality in automated environments, Hainbuch integrates its IQ clamping devices with built-in measurement intelligence. These systems—like the TOPlus IQ for outer clamping and the MAXXOS IQ mandrel for inner clamping—continuously measure workpiece dimensions, contact points, and clamping force.
Using contactless data and energy transmission, the systems send real-time information to the machine control unit. Deviations trigger alerts or immediate corrective action, reducing scrap and maintaining consistent quality. IQ devices can also detect rising process forces, signaling potential tool wear.
The updated Torok chuck combines compact design, axial pull for workpiece stability, and the flexibility of Hainbuch’s modular system. It’s ideal for lathes, milling machines, and 5-axis centers—offering both sensitive manual clamping and fast adaptation for inner or jaw clamping setups.
Also new: lightweight clamping heads with exchangeable inserts from size 125. Until now, larger clamping heads required cranes for handling. The new variant is significantly lighter, more ergonomic, and easier to use—without compromising precision or stability.
Customers can now choose between the classic one-piece version and the new modular design, based on their specific needs.
Whether it’s automation, setup time reduction, or ergonomic handling—Hainbuch demonstrates how intelligent clamping technology can drive productivity in modern manufacturing.
