Between January 26 and 29, 2023, HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH and its partner MWN had the opportunity to exhibit at BAUMAG in Lucerne.

HAMMEL-MWN look back on the days of the fair with a quite positive summary. Many customers and interested parties informed themselves on site about the current state of the art of HAMMEL technology. In addition, the trade fair visitors were able to take a close look at the HAMMEL VB 650 DK shredder at the trade fair stand. This chain-mobile HAMMEL – primary shredder is equipped with a powerful Cummins B 6.7 diesel engine of the latest emission stage 5 with approx. 280 hp. The interlocking shredding shafts are designed in such a way that input materials such as wood (waste wood, green waste, rootstocks, etc.) and waste (household, bulky and industrial waste) as well as aluminum profiles and electronic scrap can be shredded without any problems. The machine is optionally equipped with a permanent overbelt magnet so that ferrous metals can be separated after pre-shredding.

The compact design of the machine enables flexible transport from site to site. Immediately after the trade fair, the machine went on a demonstration tour through beautiful Switzerland. In this way, the demo customers could convince themselves of the simple operation and the high performance of the machine.

HOT NEWS – HAMMEL agency in Austria!

The Austrian sibling team Sandra and Ferdinand Polixmair, based in Ohlsdorf near Gmunden in the beautiful Salzkammgut, are passionately focused on the sale of mobile screening plants,

jaw crushers, impact crushers and conveyor belts from McCloskey International, as well as heavy-duty & recycling trommel screens from MDS International and filter presses, water recycling, pumps & washing systems from MATEC Industries. They represent now also HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH, the construction machinery manufacturer for mobile and stationary shredders, screening and sorting systems.

The Polixmair company, a successful family business since 1972, works for its customers throughout Austria and offers numerous solutions from a single source. The team has many years of experience as a dealer, rental company and mobile processor. In addition to powerful machines and technical know-how, the company offers optimal advice in the areas of sales, rental and technical support through trained expert staff. The company also sets priority in the provision of spare parts and fast solution-oriented after-sales service.

The cooperation with the company HAMMEL Recyclingtechnik GmbH was sealed at the demo day in Bad Salzungen in July 2022, where everyone involved could get an idea of the production of the HAMMEL shredders and see the product range live in the processing of pallets, waste wood and mixed scrap.

The new shredder generation HAMMEL VB 750 DK – LV will be on a demonstration tour throughout Austria in a short term and that will be a perfect cooperation start. This primary shredder was launched in 2021 and it is the successor to the bestselling VB 750 DK.

The two-meter-long shredding shafts are the main feature and technical innovation of the machine. They enable even better processing of bulky, large-volume material such as chipboards and industrial bulky waste. These materials can be easily fed via a wheel loaders.

The interlocking knives of the now extended shafts are designed in such a way that a multifunctional shredding of old and fresh wood, root stocks, railway sleepers, bulky, commercial and household waste as well as old tires and aluminium is possible.

That is the HAMMEL company respond to the market needs of customers who nowadays do not only have to shred one specific material but are supposed to process a variety of material. A neodymium magnet is used to separate FE metals. This is installed in a modified position on the discharge belt and enables more optimal metal separation.

The advantage of the lightweight construction of the neodymium magnet allows the machine to remain essentially the same overall weight in comparison with its predecessor. The newly designed conveyor achieves a discharge height of approx. 4,600 mm. which enables the production of large-volume material heaps or the end product can be transported directly into containers or trucks.

The shredder achieves even more throughput due to both the new environmentally friendly CAT C9.3 – stage 5 engine with its powerful 380 hp and the latest generation of hydraulics.
