More than 2,000 HAMMEL shredders are used worldwide from Hawaii to Tasmania. They have been constantly adapted to customer needs and further developed. The demand for more multifunctionality, mobility, as well as flexibility and higher performance determine the present appearance of all HAMMEL shredders.

The shredder, once supposed to be a “limited edition” restricted to 20 machines, has been further developed due to the increasing demand.

The HAMMEL-primary shredder type VB 750 DK – extra power is equipped with a more powerful CAT C13 Tier4i engine with approx. 480 hp. The bigger engine allows the machine to increase its output by more than 20%.

The greater track systems do not only fit visually, but also make the machine appear more powerful. Rough and difficult terrain can be passed with ease. Due to the increased throughput of the machine, more material is discharged and therefore a more powerful over-belt magnet is needed in order to optimize the separation of ferrous metal. The new track chain drive and the larger magnet round off the appearance of the HAMMEL VB 750 DK – extra power.

The multifunctional shredding shafts give customers the opportunity to process a variety of materials. The same pair of multifunctional shafts can equally shred different types of waste (household, industrial, bulky waste) and wood (fresh wood and waste wood), as well as aluminum profiles and bales, light mixed scrap and tires. The shredder has even more advantages:

  • The generously dimensioned radiator with 2 doors allows better cleaning and prevents overheating even in areas with high outside temperatures.
  • The well appreciated “easy to use” control: a mobile PLC control is installed as standard and has 3 pre-programmed shredding settings and 1 freely configurable shredding program. Error messages can be displayed in clear text.
  • The discharge height of the shredder is up to 4,800 mm, which facilitates higher stockpiling.
  • The 66 °angle of inclination of the tilting hopper offers an optimal filling position for the feed material.
