HURCO: 3-axis, 5-axis and graphite machining centres: Upgrade once for all

Takumi, manufacturer of high-precision and universally applicable machining centres with a focus on tool and mould making, has now further improved its entire machine fleet with new and further developments.
Pliening, April 2022: Each model in the fleet, which consists of 3-axis machining centres in the V and VC series, 3-axis gantry machining centres in the H and BC series, 5-axis machining centres in the U, UB and UC series and graphite machining centres in the G series, can now be adapted even more closely to the respective application. For one thing, the size gradations of the machines have been more pointedly adapted to market needs – this is demonstrated, for example, by the new H 6, which is geared to the dynamic machining of smaller parts with high-speed spindles.

Components from European production

On the other hand, the user can benefit from various detail improvements in the standard and optional equipment. In the 3-axis range, for example, he can select different spindles in the new BC series or configure interchangeable heads, for example to carry out lateral machining with an angle head. At the same time, he can optionally choose from a pool of fully integrated 5-axis heads and thus configure his machine even more freely from the modular system. In addition to various milling head and spindle types and power ratings, HSK63, HSK100, SK and BT holders can also be selected. In any case, components from European production are used, which stand for accuracy and reliability. This also applies to the linear and roller guides, which ensure precision even under heavy loads. All components are coordinated by Heidenhain controls, which also applies to the manufacturer’s drive technology and glass scales.
Loading possible from the front, side and top

Last but not least, the upgrade has improved accessibility and serviceability:

The centres can be loaded and unloaded frontally, laterally and – in the case of gantry machines – from above. At the same time, the maintenance areas are easily accessible. Robust, inherently rigid and precisely designed, the Takumi range focuses on high mechanical damping and thermal stability. Thus, it covers rough machining as well as finishing with high surface quality. The machines, which already include a wide range of features as standard, are offered at an excellent price.
performance range as standard, are offered at an excellent price-performance ratio.
