König + Neurath receives the “Furniture Made in Germany” label of origin

König + Neurath has been manufacturing high-quality office furniture and room solutions at its headquarters in Karben, Hesse, for almost a hundred years. Now the manufacturer, whose customers are looked after together with specialist trade partners and benefit from comprehensive service and tailor-made solutions when analysing, planning and equipping office space, can label its product innovations with the corresponding seal of quality. “We are pleased that consumers can now see at first glance: They get the highest precision, innovation and ideas Made in Germany from us. The quality seal is known all over the world and is the decisive purchasing argument for many people,” Hartmut Hagemann, Chairman of König + Neurath AG, is pleased to say.

The label of origin was awarded to the supplier of office furniture and room systems at the Karben production site by the German Furniture Industry Association (VDM) on 15 September. “Furniture Made in Germany” is a seal of quality that creates trust and certifies that the design and engineering of the furniture as well as the relevant manufacturing and production processes are demonstrably carried out in Germany. It also provides information that all products have a high quality level and are subject to strict quality monitoring.

Always true to Germany as a production location

“König + Neurath is a family-owned company that has always been committed to Germany as a production location,” says CEO Hagemann. “We are aware of our social responsibility in the region,” he says. The quality criterion is extremely important to the manufacturer for all products. Important quality seal complements a number of other certifications

At the office furniture expert, which produces quality products in series and individual production on its 130,000 square metre premises in Hesse with the help of the latest manufacturing technologies, all processes are certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001, 14001 and 50001, which is an important support for the award of the label. From now on, compliance with the criteria will be regularly monitored by the German Furniture Quality Association on behalf of the VDM. “There are only about 60 furniture manufacturers besides us who are allowed to use the “Made in Germany” seal. For us, alongside the Blue Angel and the European Level, it is an important quality certificate with which we can prove the standard of our work,” says Hartmut Hagemann, who accepted the certificate together with the company’s sustainability expert Johannes Brennig.
