The new MotionBlitz®LTR2 portable system from Mikrotron was developed specifically for mobile long-term recording of high-speed video. Thanks to its compact dimensions and high light sensitivity, the LTR2 system can also be used in difficult environments.

The camera stores images in real time directly to a ring memory hard drive system with a volume of 1.6 TB, saving the user inconvenient waiting times during download. At full resolution, recording times of up to 55 minutes can be achieved – and at VGA resolution even up to 16 hours.

That gives quality managers and employees in technical monitoring entirely new application scenarios and options for the analysis of complex processes. For example, lengthy experimental sequences can be filmed in a single pass, or packaging processes thoroughly monitored over longer periods.

Other application areas are motion analysis and flow behavior of liquids and gases in university research, or motion analysis in sports and medicine.

The ready-to-operate complete system is also easy to use and has a number of convenient functions, like the ImageBLITZ® intelligent trigger system, which records the relevant period before and after the trigger signal.
