New management at EDUR

After 27 years of successful management, Dr. Glenny and Dr. Jürgen Holdhof are retiring from the operational business at the turn of the year and handing over the management to Frederike Holdhof and Thomas Naß. This settles the question of succession for the traditional company founded in 1927: Frederike Holdhof, granddaughter of the founder Eduard Redlien, will take over the management of Sales and Research and Development in the new year. Thomas Naß, who has been the commercial director for many years, will take over responsibility for internal value creation, IT and human resources. Dr. Glenny Holdhof, née Redlien, and Dr. Jürgen Holdhof have been working for EDUR-Pumpenfabrik since 1987 and 1985 respectively. In 1993, they were promoted to the management of the company. Among the major milestones of their successful career are the orientation of EDUR as a niche supplier with technologically superior products and the development of international business, for example through the establishment of various joint ventures in Asia.

The path to digitalization was also significantly paved by the consistent establishment of digital processes throughout the company. In addition, EDUR was heavily involved in the establishment of a digital platform for medium-sized pump manufacturers, which is now generating international leads. In order to be able to achieve sustainable growth in the long term, the company moved to Kiel-Wellsee in 2014 to a new building.

In addition to numerous internal company projects, Dr. Holdhof and his wife have never lost sight of the big picture and have always been active and committed outside the company – whether in the VDMA (German Engineering Federation), the Kiel Chamber of Industry and Commerce or the Kiel Business Association. It is not easy to say goodbye, but Dr. Glenny and Dr. Jürgen Holdhof are looking forward to the change in management: “We are handing over a well-positioned company to the next generation and are pleased to have found successors in our daughter Frederike Holdhof and Thomas Naß, who will lead EDUR into the future with competence, commitment and passion.” Thomas Naß, who has been with the company since 2000, and Frederike Holdhof, who joined the family business a few years ago, can already draw on a wealth of experience thanks to their long-standing ties with EDUR.

“We will continue to develop and produce pump solutions for interesting niche applications. As is already the case today, our work will be very close to our customers,” says Thomas Nass. Frederike Holdhof adds: “The focus will be on our core applications and their technological development in order to open up or further expand both national and international specialty markets. It will be crucial to continue to identify digitization trends at an early stage and to use them successfully for our business model.”
