pco.dicam C8 – 8 channel intensified sCMOS technology for nano second ultra speed challenges

For imaging demands far beyond the capabilities of conventional CMOS high speed cameras, the pco.dicam C8 combines unrivaled gating performance of high end image intensifiers with the sensitivity, dynamic and resolution of sCMOS sensors.

Based on the well established optical design of the pco.dicam C4, the light of a single optical input is equally distributed and guided to 8 connected intensified channels. This unique set-up  allows e.g. the acquisition of 8 images with 4ns exposure time “back to back” within 32ns or alternatively 16 images with 20ns exposure time within 640ns.

At least as impressive as the max. frame repetition rate is the built in flexibility which gives full freedom to arrange up to 16 gated exposures on the recording time line: Each exposure time can be different from the others, interframing times ( gap between the end of one exposure and the start of the next exposure time) can vary within one recording sequence almost without limitations. The option to mount individual spectral filters to each of the 8 channels in combination with simultaneous recording on different channels opens the door to intensified color imaging.
