Pokolm proves its high claim to superiority even in the details of its cutting material packaging. At first glance it might be thought that cutting material packagings are only important for transport, storage and clear identification of the rotating inserts, but at second glance there are many more functions. And the Pokolm engineers took another good look here also.

The results are impressive. Both the cutting material packaging and the corresponding labelling were completely reworked. For instance, the number of packaging sizes were reduced to only two variants but the housings are now kept in typical POKOLM red to make them recognisable as POKOLM products at a single glance. But the most comprehensive innovations also involve the language-independent labels:

  • The cover and housing are wrapped with the label on the face, which seals them at the same time.
  • There is an additional imprint of the item number on the face so the milling cutters can be quickly identified on the front even in a warehouse stack.
  • On the labelling section of the sliding cover customers will find information on
    • The item number
    • The quality and coating of the cutting material based on POKOLM nomenclature
    • The DIN designation of the cutting material
    • The radius (r) or programmable radius (pr)
    • The item number of the corresponding attachment screw
    • The item number of the corresponding key
    • The tightening torque in Nm
    • Min/max values for cutting depths, cutting speed and feed rate as the main or auxiliary application for the usual colour-marked materials
    • The QR code with a link to the Webshop for calling up additional details or for convenient reordering of the cutting material
    • The batch number

The new design will gradually be incorporated into the entire range of POKOLM cutting materials.
