Precise temperature monitoring in plants and pipelines with new temperature sensor in the GEMÜ portfolio

With the new GEMÜ 3240 temperature transducer / switch the exact temperature monitoring in systems and pipework is now possible in an even wider measuring range.

GEMÜ replaces the existing product range Type 3220 with the new temperature transmitter / switch Type 3240. The high quality measuring cells of the new sensor can cope with media temperatures between – 40 °C and 150 °C and operating pressures up to 160 bar with a measuring accuracy of 0.35% FSO.
In addition to the significantly wider measuring range, the new series scores with extensive features. For demanding acid/alkaline applications, for example, all wetted parts are available with PVDF coating.

With IO Link for intelligent networking

The GEMÜ 3240 temperature transducer / switch can be used centrally for process automation and monitoring via an IO Link interface. This offers advantages for example in plant networking as the compatibility of the components with each other and simple parameter setting and data transmission are guaranteed. The rotatable LED display offers a further advantage. With the 4-digit display, visual recognition of the current operating parameters is possible in any installation position.

Versatile in use

The new GEMÜ 3240 temperature transmitter / switch can be used for a wide range of applications. In cooling circuits or for monitoring sterilization processes the sensor is a reliable instrument for temperature measurement and control. The sensor can be used for a wide range of media such as pasty or contaminated media. In addition, the new sensor is even suitable for chemically aggressive media thanks to the high-quality selection of materials.
Since 2018 GEMÜ has been offering the latest measurement technology for pressure measurement and pressure control with the pressure transmitter / switch 3140. With the new temperature sensor, the measurement and control technology portfolio is now even broader.
