Sensor cables are used in almost all areas of industry, everywhere,
where electronic measurement, testing, monitoring and automation are carried out.
Sensor cables are often exposed to extremely low or high temperatures, whereby safe data transmission must be guaranteed.
The special cable manufacturer SAB has developed two new cables that are precisely tailored to this application area. The two sensor cables can be used at temperatures from -50°C to +150°C. The high flexibility, extreme robustness and the wide temperature range predestine these cables for use in measurement and testing technology, e.g. on truck and car test drives at the polar circle or in extremely hot regions of our earth.
The “smooth” jacket surface of the cables does not produce a stick-slip effect and the slim cable design allows minimum bending radii of up to 5 mm. This allows a comfortable installation especially in test vehicles where space is often limited.
In addition, the small outer diameters and cross sections enable the use of miniature sensors, as strain gauge feed line or as connecting cable in module technology.
Depending on the application, the following sensor cables can be used:
Low temperature resistant sensor cable down to -50°C for measurement and testing technology. Supply cable for miniature sensors. DMS supply lines for the tightest bending radii. For indoor and outdoor use, even under difficult weather conditions.
High temperature resistant sensor cable up to max. 150°C for measurement and testing technology. Supply cable for miniature sensors. DMS supply lines for the tightest bending radii. Connecting cable modular technology.
SAB’s production possibilities do not only extend to standard types, but also to special cables, which are designed according to the respective customer requirements. The production can also be carried out in small lot sizes, which are interesting for small and zero series.
