At Global Industrie 2025 in Lyon, Starrag presented the new VT vertical turning machine, combining Dörries and Berthiez expertise. The VT 28 version machines components up to 17 tonnes, with a maximum diameter of 2.8 m and height of 2.65 m. Flexible robotic tool handling for 108 tools and multiple attachment heads makes it ideal for aerospace and wind power applications.

High-Precision Grinding and Hydrostatic Technology

Berthiez’s decades of grinding expertise ensure superior surface quality. The VT series integrates hydrostatic guides for maximum precision and an Ultra High Performance Concrete (UHPC) base to dampen vibrations and maintain thermal stability. Direct-drive rotary tables provide dynamic positioning, reducing processing times.

MedTech and Luxury Goods Applications – Bumotec 191neo

Starrag showcased the Bumotec 191neo for MedTech and luxury sectors, capable of machining sensitive components in a single pass. Arthrodesis plates made from Ti6Al4V titanium alloy can be produced in just 26 minutes, achieving flawless surface quality and high biocompatibility, thanks to a rigid design and high-precision milling spindle.

Heckert H100 – Maximum Precision in Minimum Space

The new Heckert H100 rounds off the top end of the compact Heckert series. With a 1,000 × 1,000 mm pallet and up to four tonnes load capacity, it machines large, heavy workpieces in a smaller footprint of 8,900 × 4,600 mm. This allows savings on investment, transport, foundation, and installation while delivering high productivity, especially in commercial vehicles and precision mechanical engineering.
