At this year’s CeBIT, the focus was on the share-economy. Consequently, sharing knowledge and information in the interests of better working relationships was one of the show’s main topics of conversation. Wilkhahn’s subsidiary foreseeT had its finger on the pulse with its cutting-edge solution for teamwork between people located in different places. And its new partner IBM devoted an especially dedicated area of the exhibition to their joint Social Collaboration Room showcase.

InteracTable®, with its integrated 46-inch multi-touch display, is the hub of teamwork in the Social Collaboration Room. Several people can use the table to retrieve, process, share or send data at the same time. InteracTable® is complemented by a mobile screenmate which allows teams in their rooms all over the world to join in by video conference. The Social Collaboration Room means teams in different places can link up immediately, to share documents with one another, and to process them in real time. All these activities are possible regardless of where the team members are located and regardless of what device they’re currently using.

The Social Collaboration Room roadshow started at the end of January in Orlando, Florida. During the annual IBM Connect conference with the IT company’s key clients and international leaders in business in technology, the concept was nominated for the Best of Show and Chief Technology Officer Award. The partnership with IBM opens up many benefits, including links with IBM programs and a data-security guarantee. As a result, the Social Collaboration Room makes the working relationship between teams spread all over the world easier and is a real alternative to a lot of business trips.
