BIG KAISER, a global leader in premium high-precision tooling systems and solutions for the metal-working industries, announced the CTL-90, a new compact centering tool designed for smaller lathes.

The new tool has a stationary dial gauge that faces the machine operator at all times, rather than rotating with the lathe spindle. This significantly simplifies the tool and lathe chuck centering procedure, and thereby saves time and improves operator productivity.

The tool’s fine adjustment mechanism enables precise adjustment within 10 µ with a stroke of 2 mm; with a magnetic base making the task of tool mounting incredibly simple, while expanding the operator’s options with various mounting positions.

“For busy operators who often oversee multiple machines at once, ease of use is truly essential,” says Peter Elmer, CEO at BIG KAISER. “By ensuring that the dial gauge is always visible and legible, this new centering tool brings a new level of convenience and efficiency to the operator.”
