With the founding of WEBER AI SYSTEMS GMBH, the WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP is expanding its activities in the field of artificial intelligence. The new joint venture develops and integrates practical AI solutions for specific operational challenges. The first applications are already being implemented within the corporate group. In the future, this is expected to lead to solutions and services for external customers as well.

WEBER-HYDRAULIK GMBH, along with Simon Schausberger and Benjamin Bachmayr, are shareholders in WEBER AI SYSTEMS. Together with Stefan Moser, they form the management team of the joint venture. The three have previously worked on AI-related topics as part of the company’s internal digitalization team. Moser is also responsible for Finance, Accounting & Controlling, as well as Legal and Compliance matters within the corporate group. Schausberger and Bachmayr contribute additional technological expertise through their academic backgrounds in artificial intelligence and their professional experience in software development.
WEBER AI SYSTEMS does not start with a specific technology, but rather with concrete operational challenges. These include, for example, time-consuming manual processes, hard-to-access information, or the intelligent integration of existing data and systems. Only then is it assessed how artificial intelligence can contribute.
“We don’t want to use AI just for the sake of it. What matters most to us is whether an application solves a specific problem and creates tangible added value. That’s exactly where we start,” says Stefan Moser, Managing Director of WEBER AI SYSTEMS and Head of Finance, Accounting & Controlling at the WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP.
A key focus is on integration into existing system landscapes. WEBER AI SYSTEMS relies on open standards, flexible interfaces, and proven technologies. The goal is not to replace existing systems outright, but rather to supplement them with appropriate AI functions in a targeted manner. Current areas of application include, among others, AI assistants and knowledge databases, intelligent search within corporate data, and the integration of AI functions into existing applications and processes.
The first projects are being developed in collaboration with the business units of the WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP. These include, among other things, an internal AI assistant with a knowledge database, an SAP integration for more efficient spare parts searches, and AI-supported applications for quality and logistics processes. The group thus serves as the first real-world testing ground where solutions are developed and tested based on real-world requirements. Successful applications will then be standardized and further developed into scalable solutions wherever appropriate.
In the long term, WEBER AI SYSTEMS is not intended to operate exclusively for the corporate group. Eventually, its services will also be offered externally. The focus will be on medium-sized companies whose structures, requirements, and challenges are familiar to the team members from their own corporate environment. On this basis, practical AI solutions will be developed that are tailored to real-world operational requirements.
“With WEBER AI SYSTEMS, we are expanding our technological expertise into a business area that is becoming increasingly important for industry and small and medium-sized enterprises. At the same time, we are creating the framework to quickly test new solutions in practice and, in the future, develop them into an independent external offering,” says Yannick Weber, COO of the WEBER SYSTEMS GROUP.
The service portfolio will be gradually expanded based on ongoing internal and future external projects.
