Sewerin: The powerful generators for line location

In daily locating practice, the situation often arises that the exact location of pipelines is unknown. This can be due to the loss of plans or incomplete documentation after new installations or changes in the location of pipes. However, in order to be able to precisely locate leaks, for example, or to prevent damage to valuable pipeline infrastructure during earthworks, the location of all pipelines must be known. Whenever pipelines need to be located, the generators of the FERROPHON system are an irreplaceable aid.

FERROPHON® – FG 150 generator – The specialist for the electromagnetic location of metallic cables

The FG 150 generator is intended for electromagnetic line location. It can be used to locate electrically conductive lines directly or indirectly. The FG 150 has an output of up to 50 W and is therefore ideally suited for extreme locating ranges.

Ten factory-set frequencies between 512 Hz and 116 kHz are available for direct transmission. If the right frequency is not available, up to five additional individual frequencies in a frequency range from 200 Hz to 116 kHz can be set up on the generator.
Thanks to strong performance parameters, the FG 150 generator is the perfect complement to all receivers of the UT 9200/9100/930, FERROPHON® and UtiliTrac systems.

FERROPHON® – Generator FG 150 – The universally applicable

The FG 150 C generator can be used for both electromagnetic and acoustic line location. The electromagnetic pipe location functions in the same way as the FG 150 generator.
For the acoustic location of plastic pipes, the generator controls a vibration generator of the COMBIPHON® system – either the knocker or the stopper. Lines that are made to vibrate with the knocker or stopper can then be located with the help of a receiver and a ground microphone.

The combination of AQUAPHON® A 200 receiver, TS 200 support rod and BM 200 or BM 230 ground microphone is recommended for this task.
