Wilkhahn’s “Design your own Chassis” competition returns bigger and better than ever

Due to popular demand, the Design your own Chassis competition is back, this time bigger and better. Participants can put thinking caps on and send Wilkhahn the most creative design now!

Innovative. Multi-purpose. Appealing.

Virtually no other chair has caused more of a stir in the design world than multi-purpose chair, Chassis. And it’s no surprise. Because the distinctive and ground-breaking design of the frame, consisting of deep drawn sheet steel, indicates a highly innovative manufacturing process called space frame technology from the automotive industry.

Design submission: Strictly by 2359 hours, 25 July 2016. Send submissions to marketing@wilkahn.com.au

Winner Announcement: 29 September 2016 at Wilkhahn Hong Kong’s Oktoberfest Party

Why should I participate?

Well, participants get to keep the chair they’ve designed for free! Participant/ participants company’s design will also get mentioned / published on various digital media platforms as the winners.

The details.

Step 1 : Print out the Chassis A3 design file with a plain version of Chassis chair, hang it on the wall in your meeting room / breakout area
Step 2 : Put on the thinking cap
Step 3 : Put thoughts and ideas down on paper and give it a catchy name
Step 4 : Scan and email the design to Wilkhahn’s marketing team, marketing@wilkhahn.com.au , by 25 July, 2359 hours
Step 5 : Attend Wilkhahn’s Oktoberfest Party on 29 September 2016
Step 6 : The top three BEST designs will be produced into actual Chassis chairs. Winners are revealed that day only and get to take home their very own Chassis chair!

Limitations.

There are no limitations on your design ideas however please note Wilkhahn need to manufacture the chair.

• The seat can be upholstered in any fabric or leather that is below $ 250 / m
• Plain fabric can be used with a screen print (please provide high resolution image along with entry)
• Frame can be plated in any material or power coated in any colour / variation of colour

*Wilkhahn factory will try to match the winning design as close as possible within the limitations and cost of manufacturing

Judging Panel.

Once the design is approved by Wilkhahn’s factory the design will be judged by a variety of end clients and project managers (panel TBC). The panel will not see the company name when judging.
