Malmberg has signed a large contract with VEAS, Norway’s largest sewage treatment plant. The order includes installations of pipes and machines in new process facilities for phosphorus-nitrogen removal. The contract amount is NOK 68 million.

The sewage plant in Slemmestad receives its wastewater from Oslo, Bærum, Asker, Nesodden and  Røyken.municipalities. VEAS has major development plans and will be Norway’s largest recycling plant where the wastewater is the raw material turning into bio-fertilizer and biogas. Malmberg’s contract will be completed within a two-year period.

Sofia Knudsen – Malmberg Business Area Manager, Norway:

“This is a signal project for us at Malmberg in the work we now have started in Norway, with our establishment in Drammen. Malmberg will become a leading cleantech company in Norway. VEAS ‘plans to become Norway’s largest recycling plant goes hand-in-hand with Malmberg’s vision of Pure Energy and Clean Water for a better environment. It is a solid foundation for good cooperation in the years to come. “
