Optronis GmbH in Kehl installed a photovoltaic system on the roof of the company building. The plant went into operation at the beginning of 2021 and supplies the company with clean energy for the development and production of high-speed cameras. The aim of producing its own electricity is to reduce the companys carbon footprint. In addition, surplus energy is fed into the power grid and is a contribution to the decentralization of supply.

The production of green electricity is a sign from Optronis to living up to its responsibility towards society. Also, the long-term expected profitability serves to secure jobs. The annual yield of the photovoltaic system is expected to be significantly higher than the company’s own consumption. This will make Optronis CO2-neutral and contribute to annual emission savings of 48 tons of CO2.
