THE 4,000TH GAS ANALYSIS FROM AWITE

On 10 January, the time had finally come. The 4,000th gas analysis started its service, at Mr Fleischmann, Kerscher and Bleibrunner. This is an AwiFLEX that was sold to Biogas Wörth GmbH. With two measuring points and all important sensors (CH4, CO2, O2, H2S and H2), it is ideally suited to permanently monitor the entire process from the fermenter to the CHPs. By selecting an H2S sensor in the measuring range 0…200ppm, the activated carbon filter can be reliably monitored for breakthrough. The combination with an AwiFLOW gas flow sensor enables Mr Fleischmann, Kerscher and Bleibrunner to document their produced gas quantities in the future.

The plant from 2011 is flexibilised to 950kW and relies on a diverse substrate mix. These include cattle slurry, pig slurry, cattle manure, silage maize, grass silage, green rye silage, triticale silage, intermixed silphia and sweet sorghum.

The commissioning of the device was celebrated at a Bavarian morning pub with veal sausage. Friends and business partners of the operator came together and spent the morning in a cosy atmosphere.

We thank Mr. Fleischmann, Kerscher and Bleibrunner for the order and wish them much joy with the device.
