The Vectrix™ VX-1 Li/Li+ Named “e-Scooter of the Year 2013”

Vectrix Electric Scooters Named European “e-Scooter of the Year” by CleanWeek 2020.

VECTRIX™, a leading global designer and manufacturer of all-electric two-and three wheeled scooters, Vectrix™ has been named the European “e-Scooter of the Year” for the third year in a row. The Vectrix model VX-1 Li/Li+ was named European “e-Scooter of the Year” by the CleanWeek 2020 judging panel. CleanWeek 2020 – an all-electric vehicle competition geared to future technologies in the transportation industry. This 4th annual event took place at the famed Belgium racetrack, Circuit Zolder, from May 1 to 3, 2013.

A jury of 14 European automotive, alternative energy and motorcycle journalists considered every new e-Scooter released in the past year, and selected the Vectrix VX-1/Li/Li+ as the winner. The awards were announced at the press conference upon closing of the 4th annual CleanWeek 2020 held in Belgium. There are more than 30 e-motorcycles and e-scooters on the market today, making for stiff competition in the space. The jury gathered at Circuit Zolder for extensive testing of the electric scooters and each model in the competition was scrutinized and had to pass a series of rigorous testing in order to be named the “e-Scooter of the Year”. The challenging criterion included Ecoscore (consumption, emissions, and noise), Driving Range, Recycling, Refilling/Reloading, Price, Performance/Consumption, Aesthetics/Styling, Drivability, Availability in the Market, and Quality of the Press Kit. The Circuit Zolder “Clean Week 2020” award categories included e-Scooters (under 25km/h/15mph, under 45 km/h/30 mph, and over 45km/h/30 mph), e-Bicycle, e-Quadricycle and e-Motorcycle (on-road, off-road, and MX). The Vectrix VX-1 Li/Li+ won in the 45 km/h plus category.
