The modular and dynamic DIAS-Drive 2000 multi-axis servo system is significantly enhanced with the addition of the single-axis module MDP 2200-L-01. This module provides up to 20 A of rated current for controlling synchronous servo motors and includes an integrated supply, power filter, braking resistor, and DC link—all within a compact 150 x 240 x 219 mm (size 2) form factor. The combined supply/axis module operates on a three-phase 400-480 VAC input and can handle peak currents up to 60 A.
The standard includes many safety functions such as STO, SS1, SOS, SBC, as well as safe speed, acceleration, position and direction of rotation functions – all up to SIL 3, PL e, Cat. 4 and TÜV certified.
Like all MDP modules in the MDD 2000 series, the single-axis drive can be used stand-alone or in combination with any number of MDD 2000 axis modules of both sizes. This makes designing a customized drive concept simple.
The digital motor feedback interface Hiperface DSL is a standard feature, which saves wiring and time during the initial start-up. In addition to the single cable solution, various encoder types are supported: EnDat 2.1, Hiperface, Resolver, Sin/Cos, TTL, BiSS-C or Tamagawa.
The modules can be connected without tools using baying technology with DCB “DC Connection Block” and BCB ”Bus Connection Block”. This eliminates costly individual wiring for current, DC-Link coupling and real-time Ethernet communication with VARAN bus.
The engineering platform LASAL has an extensive library with pre-defined motion software components. This makes it easy to implement motion control tasks and significantly shortens the time for creating applications.
