The MOST® Cooperation – standardization organization for the leading automotive multimedia network technology Media Oriented Systems Transport (MOST) – invites professionals from the automotive electronics industry and academia to present their latest insights and future visions at the eighth MOST Forum on April 19, 2016 in Stuttgart/Esslingen (Germany). Concurrent with the MOST Cooperation’s All Members Meeting, this International conference and exhibition on MOST Technology will bring together an international audience of researchers, designers, engineers, system developers, as well as purchasers, journalists and managers.

Sustainability, Robustness, and New Features of MOST

“The 2015 MOST Forum was themed ‘MOST Versatile Standard’, examining the sustainability, robustness, and new features of MOST,” stated Henry Muyshondt, MOST Cooperation Administrator. “MOST provides a powerful architecture with free topology configuration while keeping integration simple. Supporting electrical and optical physical layers, MOST offers the appropriate network architecture for a large group of HD audio/video and IP-based applications.” Conference presentations examined higher speed rates as well as different physical layers and transceivers. For compliance and quality assurance, presenters looked at virtual prototyping, testing and simulation. Speakers also discussed connectivity to other standards such as AUTOSAR, new features, and simplified access regarding network and system architecture. Besides the MOST Cooperation, AUDI AG, De Pauw, Hamamatsu Photonics, Hyundai, Intrepid Control Systems, K2L, Microchip Technology, KU Leuven, Ruetz System Solutions, Tektronix, Teledyne LeCroy, Telemotive, and X2E presented their innovative MOST solutions and applications.

Call for Speakers

The Call for Speakers for the MOST Forum 2016 is now open, and anyone interested is invited to submit a proposal for a paper by November 20, 2015. Suggested MOST topics for paper submissions include, but are not limited to: physical layer, networking and system architecture, software and protocols, compliance and quality, applications and series projects experience, MOST and other standards, as well as research and miscellaneous topics such as consumer products in the car. Several partners will again provide their knowledge and expertise to the MOST Forum. These include the media partners Automotive Electronics, EE Times Europe, Elektronik automotive, ElektronikPraxis, and John Day’s Automotive Electronics.
